Trekking to Ciudad Perdida

Day 1: Destination Adam’s Cabin

The Ciudad Perdida 5-day hike starts in SANTA MARTA at 9:00 am from Turcol’s headquarters. Then, we will travel by car for approximately two and a half hours to the MAMEY region where we will have lunch and take a rest. Afterwards we will resume the activities with a walk of approximately 3 hours to the first station, known in the region with the names of: CABAÑA DE ADÁN place where you can enjoy the honduras creek which is a beautiful natural pool or a little further the CABAÑA DE ALFREDO. Dinner will be served at 06:30 p.m., and the sleeping arrangements for the first day will be in hammocks with mosquito nets.

Day 2: Destination Indigenous Village MUTANYI

The departure is from Adam’s Cabin to Paradise Cabin, a 14.7-kilometer journey that will take approximately 8 hours. At the cabin, there will be recreation and cultural integration, food, and accommodation. During the trip, we will visit the indigenous village of MUTANYI, which is an ideal place for taking photographs and interacting with the population. We will also enjoy the fabulous waters of the BURITACA RIVER Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM. The sleeping arrangements for this day will be in beds or hammocks with mosquito nets.

Day 3: Destination – Lost City

The departure is from Paradise Cabin to Ciudad Perdida. The guide will lead the tour and provide an explanation of the history of Ciudad Perdida. The duration of this activity is 3 hours. Subsequently, we will return from Ciudad Perdida to Mumake Cabin, a 7.6-kilometer journey that will take approximately 4 hours. At the cabin, there will be recreational activities, food, and accommodation.

Day 4: Alfredo’s Cabin

We will return to ADAM’S CABIN or ALFREDO’S CABIN. Estimated time of arrival: 12:00 p.m. You can enjoy the Honduras stream again, which is a beautiful natural pool. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. The sleeping arrangements for this day will be in beds or hammocks with mosquito nets.

Day 5: Destination Santa Marta

We will have breakfast at 07:00 am at Adam’s Cabin, and then we will start our 3-hour hike to the MAMEY region. The estimated time of arrival is 1:00 p.m., where we will have lunch and a short rest. Finally, we will return by vehicle to the city of Santa Marta. Arrival time: 5:00 p.m.
