In 1999 the doors of the MUNDO MARINO aquarium were opened, with 24 exhibition aquariums, a Mega Pool, harmonizing research, conservation, education and recreation purposes.

For several years now, the Fundación Museo del Mar (Santa Marta), a mixed public interest and non-profit entity, together with the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, has wanted to develop a project that aims to promote knowledge, conservation and good use of the marine resources of the Santa Marta region, aware of their ability to offer goods and services that support the various traditional uses of local communities, as well as the growing economic needs that are expected in the area.

Description

This tour begins at approximately 8:00 am, where we will be heading towards the beautiful white sand beach and crystal clear water, which is ideal to enjoy an incredible day of sun, breeze and sea. This unique beach is only 10 minutes by boat from Rodadero.

Later, we will visit the Aquarium, which shows us the great variety of riches of the Caribbean Sea contained in glass aquariums and ponds, here you can see sharks, octopuses, different types of fish, rays, turtles, etc. After this pleasant experience with the marine world, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch typical of the Caribbean region in a completely pleasant environment. Finally, the tour will end at approximately 3:00 pm.
